Water

Our aim in Allegheny GeoQuest is to provide cost-effective and reliable solutions for water management projects.  Our mode of operation relies on expert consultants, managers, GIS specialists, computer scientists, hydrogeologists, and field geologists that can provide integrated, scalable solutions to groundwater and surface water problems. We use solution models based on sound peer-reviewed science. Our own proprietary General Integrative Watershed model (GIW), for example, is based on a holistic Landscape Ecology approach utilizing geochemical mass spec analysis, lotic biomonitoring, watershed geology and anthropogenic land uses to define, manage and solve water quality mitigation and sustainability problems.

  • Groundwater and surface water assessments

  • Sampling and monitoring

  • Benthic diversity and sediment quality assessments

  • Local and regional hydrogeologic characterization

  • Produced water solutions for gas and oil exploration/production

  • Structural modeling

  • Stratigraphic modeling

  • Environmental impact assessments

  • Geochemical analysis

  • Water quality assessments

  • Risk and mitigation assessments

  • Costal zone ecology

  • Acid mine drainage mitigation solutions

  • Produced water

Educational Services

AGQ organizes educational geologic field trips. These all inclusive educational outings are accompanied by docents familiar with the local and regional cultural, ecological and geological environments. AGQ is planning on several local and international field trips in the near future. Please consult our home page for information.
